In particular, men who have sex with men (MSM) are being infected at an alarming rate, especially within metropolitan areas.
While syphilis can be fatal if left untreated, it’s avoidable and in early stages, easily cured. Known as “the great imitator,” syphilis symptoms are often mistaken for other conditions or diseases. So take the time to understand the issues. And protect yourself – when you do, you’re also protecting your partners.
